BostonOld City Hall
Old City Hall, built during the Civil War in the civic architectural tradition called Federalist, better known as the Second Empire style, after Louis Bonaparte's extension of the Louvre in 1850s. The Mayor's Office and other departments of Boston's City administration left here in 1969 for Government Center.
