Welcome

Welcome to the Department of Sociology at Wake Forest University. We aspire to be an intellectual community whose faculty are nationally-recognized for their scholarship, who achieve excellence in teaching inside and outside the classroom, and who are dedicated to serving both the campus and wider communities. In short, we strive to uphold Wake Forest's Teacher-Scholar Ideal.

Students can graduate with a major or minor in sociology, and are afforded numerous opportunities for research outside the classroom, especially through participation in our Honors Program.

We are very proud of the various accomplishments of our current and former students, and we appreciate your taking the time to visit us on-line and learn more about sociology.
