Vanissa L. Zwigard, MT (ASCP)

Ms. Zwigard received a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology from Lenoir-Rhyne College in Hickory, North Carolina. She also graduated from the School of Medical Technology at Forsyth Medical Center and is registered by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists. Her prior experience includes working in a hospital setting, as well as a family practice setting. She started as the Medical Technologist at the Student Health Service in January 2001. The laboratory participates in the American Academy of Family Physicians testing quality assurance program and maintains CLIA (Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act) certification by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Ms. Zwigard assists in the care of the students by collecting, processing, and testing specimens.

Ms. Zwigard and her husband have one daughter. She enjoys traveling, reading, exercising, and being with her family.
