Dr. Cecil PriceCecil D. Price, M.D.

Dr. Price is a graduate of Wake Forest University and the Bowman Gray School of Medicine. He completed his family practice residency at Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, Va., and is board-certified by the American Board of Family Practice. He has worked as a missionary physician in St. Lucia, West Indies, as a physician in the Department of Community and Family Medicine, Duke University Medical Center, and as the assistant director of the Duke University Student Health Service. In August, 1991, Dr. Price became the director of our Student Health Service. He has a faculty appointment in the Department of Family and Community Medicine of the Wake Forest University School of Medicine.

Dr. Price's responsibilities include patient care, administration, supervision of staff, and instruction of medical students and residents. As the primary medical officer on the Reynolda Campus and as part of the Division of Student Life, Dr. Price is involved in many issues and projects that affect the health and well-being of our students. He was the faculty adviser for the first "City of Joy" trip Wake Forest students took to work with Mother Teresa in Calcutta, India.

Dr Price's wife, Theresa, is a board-certified physician in psychiatry and addiction medicine. They have two sons. When Dr. Price has had free time, he has enjoyed travel, church activities, music, skiing, boating, Wake Forest basketball and (in 2006) Wake Forest football!
