Karen Anderson, RN, BSN, BC
Ms. Anderson is a graduate of St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing in Joliet, Ill., and received her Bachelor of Science in nursing at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebr. She is licensed by the N.C. Board of Nursing, and certified in college health nursing by the American Nurses Association. Her nursing experience includes hospital nursing in intensive care, gynecology and oncology, orthopedics, general medicine and surgery. Prior to coming to the Student Health Service in 1988 she worked in home health as a visiting nurse. After working as a staff nurse for several years, Ms. Anderson became the nurse manager, adding nurse supervising and administration to her responsibilities. She also manages the Health Service travel clinic.
Ms. Anderson has three daughters and two grandsons. She is a graduate of the Wake Forest University MALS program and enjoys quilting, sewing, golf, reading and singing.
