How to get a FastLane AccountThe National Science Foundation requires that all proposals and project reports be submitted electronically via FastLane. If you are not already a FastLane user you will need a password. Only staff in Research and Sponsored Programs can assign passwords. To request a password, call or e-mail to Lori Messer, or Stephen Williams, in Research and Sponsored Programs. You will need to provide the following information: NSF ID (if applicable or known)First Name Middle Initial Last Name Suffix (Jr, Sr, etc.) E-mail address Campus phone number Campus fax number Department Degree type (e.g. Ph.D.) Degree year Research and Sponsored Programs will assign a temporary password. When you log into FastLane you will be asked to select a permanent password. Passwords must be 6-20 characters in length and include at least one alphabetic and one numeric character. Additionally, passwords are not case sensitive. Research and Sponsored Programs can provide assistance in the use of FastLane.
