Partner organizations include the Center for Design Innovation; Greater Winston-Salem Chamber of Commerce; Idealliance (Piedmont Triad Research Park); Inception Micro Angel Fund (IMAF); North Carolina Biotechnology Center; North Carolina Small Business Technology Development Center; Piedmont Angel Network (PAN); and Piedmont Triad Entrepreneurs Network (PTEN). Building on existing coursework, this program will catalyze a self-sustaining learning community for innovation through 7 extracurricular components: workshops for Wake Forest and other college and university students; a mentoring program with local entrepreneurs and organizations; liberal arts model development; market research; experiential learning internships; Fifth-Year Institute awards; and an Entrepreneurship in Liberal Education Conference. The project aims to create not only economic, but also artistic, intellectual, and social value.
