Scholarship Information

Army ROTC awards hundreds of scholarships, available at over 272 schools. Wake Forest University Army ROTC scholarships pay tuition and required fees. They're awarded solely on merit -- like academic achievements, extracurricular activities, and personal interviews. Scholarship winners also receive a $900 allowance for books and other educational items each academic year.

Scholarship winners receive a stipend ($300 freshman, $350 sophomore, $450 junior, $500 senior) for each academic month (up to 10 months a year).

There are also a limited number of room and board scholarships available to Wake Forest University (WFU) and Winston-Salem State University (WSSU) scholarship cadets.

If you're selected to receive a scholarship, you will incur a commitment to the Army upon completion of the program and graduation. You can fulfill the obligation by either serving on full time Active Duty or part time in the Army Reserve/Army National Guard.

Non-Scholarship Cadet Information

Non-scholarship contracted cadets, receive the stipend ($450 junior and $500 senior) usually during the last two years of college.  Please note that for non-scholarship and/or SMP cadets the contracting process usually occurs during the junior year of college.

There are also a limited number of room and board scholarships available to WFU and WSSU (for in-state students only) non-scholarship cadets.

You will incur a commitment to the Army upon completion of the program and graduation. You can fulfill the obligation by either serving on full time Active Duty or part time in the Army Reserve/Army National Guard.
