The Spanish Program
Evolving from the Latin brought to Spain by the Romans, Spanish has developed into an international language of business, diplomacy, and culture. It is one of the six official languages of the U.N., is recognized as official in 21 countries, and has become a second language of the U.S. The Department of Romance Languages offers a full undergraduate program (major and minor) in Spanish, including its literature, civilizations, linguistics, and applications such as business and translation/interpreting.
