Location
Erice is a walled city with cobblestone streets located in the moutains of Sicily. It is a town with a long history. Carthaginians, Greeks, Romans, Normans, Arabs, Spanish, French, and Italians have all lived in and controlled Erice at various times. At the bottom of the mountain lies the new town of Erice and the town of Trapani. One can see the beautiful coast and beached from "old" Erice. The "old" town of Erice is quite small, but its people form a close-knit community. The setting is ideal for students to get to know and become immersed in a true Mediterranean Italian community.
