Graduate Program in Interpreting and Translation StudiesOur new Graduate Program in Interpreting and Translation Studies prepares professionals
to work in the growing language industry and meet the communication challenges in a variety
of fields - foreign affairs, media, business, law and especially healthcare delivery. Today’s corporations, governments and organizations operate in a globalized, ethnically diverse world
fueled by ever-faster communication technologies. According to the 2000 U.S. Census Bureau, more than 55 million Americans aged five and over speak a language other than English at home. Overcoming linguistic and sociocultural barriers is vital to securing
a competitive edge. In response to this demand, our program offers three MA tracks: MASTER OF ARTS
For students who would like to focus on an area of interest in a more flexible, customized manner, the program offers four Graduate Certificates and one Postgraduate Certificate in specialized areas.
