The Dept. of Religion and members of Theta Alpha Kappa worked together to bring journalist and author Mark Pinsky to campus to give a talk on March 25, 2008.

Mark Pinsky, author of The Gospel According to the Simpsons, presented a lecture and media presentation on the changing roles played by popular culture and Evangelical Christianity in America. Pinsky's talk was entitled: "Religion & Popular Culture: Shotgun Wedding, Marriage of Convenience or Match Made in Heaven?"
