Surplus Property

Surplus items are generated when the University upgrades furniture, equipment and fixtures. Other departments often seek to obtain surplus items to avoid the cost of new purchases.

Michael Logan in the Purchasing Department manages the acquisition and disposition of surplus. If surplus items become available, the only cost to your department would be any applicable moving fees.

If you are seeking to dispose of a fixed asset surplus item, complete the Fixed Asset Update Form and send to Purchasing.
