Travel Arrangements & Driving Instructions:

Ideally, participants should arrive at the Greensboro, NC, airport (formally called Piedmont Triad International Airport-- with airport code GSO), though the Raleigh and Charlotte Airports are also within driving distance (about 70 miles away) and can be used if they result in significant savings or are more convenient for some participants.

Participants from the United States should make their own travel arrangements, and we will reimburse the cost of tickets. We ask that you fly coach, seek a fare that balances price and convenience, and that you confirm your flight price with us before booking. Simply drop Peter Siavelis an e-mail (siavelpm@wfu.edu) and we will approve the fare via return e-mail. International participants should make arrangements through our travel agent, whose coordinates are:

Partipants will be provided shuttle service to and from the airport by the Graylyn International Conference Center. It is essential for participants to keep program organizers up to date on the day and time of arrival to ensure that a shuttle is waiting.

Raleigh, NC:
Follow I-40 West towards Greensboro and follow directions below

Greensboro, NC:
Leave Greensboro via I-40 West; bearing right, take Exit 206 (Sign says Business 40 and Kernersville). Once you are in Winston-Salem heading West on Business 40, take the Silas Creek Parkway North exit (sign says Wake Forest University). Proceed North approximately 5 minutes in the right hand lane to Wake Forest University/Reynolda Road. Turn right onto Reynolda Road. Proceed approximately one-half mile. The Graylyn entrance is on the right with a stone wall and wrought iron gates. Proceed past the guardhouse. If you have luggage to discharge, please use the 10-minute parking available at the front door of the Manor House. Signs direct you to parking at the rear of the Manor House.

Charlotte, NC:
Leave Charlotte via I-77 North; take I-40 East at Statesville; approximately 2 miles past the Clemmons exit, bear left to take Exit 188 (sign says Business 40, Winston-Salem, and 421 South). Once you are in Winston-Salem heading East on Business 40, take the Silas Creek Parkway North exit (sign says Wake Forest University).
