Depending on the nature of the event, several application forms may be required by the University. The request below will give the University Police enough information to send you the proper forms for your event. Please complete and submit the form below to have the Event Packet mailed to you. You may also pick up an Event Packet at the Special Events Office, 305 Reynolda Hall.
Wake Forest University Policy Governing Use Of Property and Grounds
Groups and organizations may use Wake Forest University property, grounds, streets, and other designated areas, etc. for activities such as bike races, fun runs, road races, walk-a-thons, car washes, parades, demonstrations, fund-raising events, etc. with proper approval.
Any activity must reflect the mission and values of Wake Forest University. The University reserves the right to deny permission for events or activities that are deemed inappropriate or interfere with other Wake Forest University activities.
Non-Wake Forest Affiliated Groups or Organizations Requirements
- An application for a permit must be completed and submitted at least 30 days prior to the event to the Director of Special Events, P.O. Box 7227, Winston-Salem, NC 27109
- Course/route must be indicated.
- A list of services requested must be completed and returned with the application for permit.(Request Service Request Form below.)
- Once the permit is approved, a $325 fee for the use of grounds must be paid to Wake Forest University.
- Additional service fees will be billed after the event.
- A minimum of one police officer must be hired before any event is authorized.
Wake Forest University Affiliated User Requirements
- Must complete steps 1-6 listed above.
- Any request to have the fee waived, based on community development or enhancement, must be submitted, in writing, to the Vice President for Student Life and Instructional Resources, P.O. Box 7374, Winston-Salem, NC 27109.
Wake Forest University requires University Police to be assigned to campus events when any of the following apply: alcohol is being permitted or served outside; non-Wake Forest guests are invited; more than 200 people are expected; or traffic changes are necessary.
