The accompanying guests' program includes the main conference social activities, comprising the Tanglewood outing and dinner; the Grandfather Mountain excursion and dinner; the Sunday Reception & Welcome dinner; and the Tuesday concert. In addition, the Guests' Program is expected to include visits to Reynolda Gardens; to Old Salem -- the restored 1766 Moravian settlement at the heart of Winston-Salem; Pilot Mountain excursion; the Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art; the North Carolina Zoological Park; shopping excursion to the largest mall in the Carolinas; Hanging Rock State Park; and tours of some of the most important industries for this area, including tobacco and furniture manufacture.
The Accompanying Guests' Program fee of $135 entitles the participant to all these activities including the three dinners. If a guest does not want the full program but desires to participate in the main conference social activities named in the first sentence (highly recommended) a registration fee of $85 is required. We recommend that the accompanying guests take the conference meal plan described below, which includes all meals for the week (beyond the 3 dinners already in the social program) and the conference banquet.
