Preparation of Abstracts

A one-page abstract must be submitted for all presentations in a camera-ready format as described below. Either the camera-ready abstract (in triplicate), a fax, or a plain-ASCII e- mail submission must be received at Wake Forest University by February 15, 1996 for review. An e-mail submission or fax must be followed by the original camera-ready version (to be used in producing the abstract book) received before March 1, 1996. Strict adherence to the abstract format below is mandatory.

Only one page of size 8.5" x 11" or DIN A4 (21 cm x 29.7 cm) is allowed. The complete text including title, figures, and references must fit into an area of 16 cm x 22 cm. Left and top margins of 3 cm are expected. The centered title in all capital letters is followed by the authors' name(s) in bold font, and then by the affiliations and addresses, in the centered format illustrated here. Do not underline the title. Insert a blank line between the title and the names of the authors. At the top of the page well outside the printing area, the complete name and address (including e-mail and fax when available) of the corresponding author is to be given. The text begins one blank line after the author affiliations, indented 5 spaces. Succeeding paragraphs are also indented, but no blank lines need be inserted. Reference numbers should appear in square brackets.

Your accepted abstract will be printed in the abstract booklet by photographic reproduction. Therefore please use white paper, and if possible please use Times Roman 12 point font. In any case, a font size equivalent to 12 point should be used, so that the abstract is readable when reduced to the booklet format. The text may be single spaced. Figures must be drawn or glued at the proper position and size in the text.

References are separated from the text by one blank line.
