College Garage was founded in the summer of 2006 by then juniors Drew Crofton, Will Rawley, and Bill D'Alessandro. College garage is a virtual marketplace for college students. Students post free classifieds to sell textbooks, furniture, cars, and other items. College Garage helps students help other students, bypassing college bookstores and garage sales. College Garage is in the process of expanding beyond Wake Forest to 5 other colleges.

News from the OfficeThe Office of Entrepreneurship and Liberal Arts at Wake Forest University celebrated Global Entrepreneurship Week, November 17-23, 2008, an initiative to promote innovation and the possibilities of entrepreneurship among young people across the globe. On Thursday, November 20, the BB&T Center for the Study of Capitalism, the Department of Sociology, and Women’s and Gender Studies, along with the Office of Entrepreneurship and Liberal Arts presented Guest Speaker Amanda Elam, who gave the address, “Business Start-Ups by Women: Cross-National Patterns and Institutional Influences.”
