Traffic detours planned during Wake Forest commencement
May 14, 2010
Wake Forest University will be closed to through traffic for its commencement ceremony Monday, May 17, from 5:30 a.m. until the ceremony ends around noon. Kenneth I. Chenault, chairman and CEO of the American Express Company, will deliver the commencement address to more than 1,500 graduate and undergraduate students.
Commencement parking passes and commencement tickets are required to enter campus and attend the event. Passes and tickets are reserved for graduates and their guests. Those without a commencement parking pass will not be allowed to enter campus.
Traffic at the university’s Polo Road and University Parkway entrances is likely to be heavy. Anyone not attending the commencement ceremony should plan to take alternate routes around campus.
