Advisory: Wake Forest University students take first place in competition

A team of four Wake Forest University undergraduates took first place in the national round of the KPMG Global Case Competition on Jan. 22 in Atlanta, Ga. They will represent the U.S. at the international competition in early April in Athens, Greece. The team is made up of undergraduate business and accountancy students Louis Brotherton, Andrea Kensy, Swayze Smartt and Zachary Zimbile. They had three hours to read a case, analyze the problems and prepare a presentation, which they made via video conference to KPMG judges in New York City. Teams from Baylor, Lehigh, Notre Dame, Illinois, Maryland and the University of Southern California also competed. The students will be honored at a ceremony at Wake Forest on Tuesday, February 2, at 10:45 p.m. in Kirby Hall. The students will be available for interviews.
