WFU orchestra 'haunts' audiences at annual Halloween concert

The Wake Forest University Orchestra will present its 15th annual Halloween concert at midnight Oct. 31.
The concert will be held in Brendle Recital Hall in the Scales Fine Arts Center.
The concert will begin with the annual Bach Toccata and Fugue in D Minor and will include excerpts from other pieces including Barber’s “Medea’s Meditation and Dance of Vengeance,” Mussorgsky’s “Gnome,” “Catacombs,” and “The Witch Baba-Yaga” from “Pictures at an Exhibition,” and Rossini’s Overture to the “The Barber of Seville.”
David Hagy, director of the orchestra, and orchestra members will be dressed in costumes. Live theater and surprise tricks will be part of the program.
