Wake Forest anthropology museum announces summer camp
March 3, 2009
This summer, Wake Forest University’s Museum of Anthropology will offer three weeklong children’s summer camps titled “Archaeology: Can You Dig It?”
Camps meet the weeks of July 6, 13 and 20. Through games, art, stories and other activities, children will learn about uncovering the past through both land and underwater archaeology. A professional archaeologist will also work with campers to help them create and excavate an archaeological site.
Camps take place weekdays from 9 a.m. to noon, and are for students who have completed grades 1-5. Camp fees, $100 (community) and $85 (museum members), include supplies and daily snacks. Registration is limited to 15 children per week.
