Wake Forest student filmmakers to screen films

The Wake Forest University Department of Communication and Film Studies Program will present the Spring 2008 Student Filmmakers Screening at 6 p.m. April 30 in Annenberg Forum, Carswell Hall, Room 111. A reception will be held immediately following the screening. The films will include:
- “The Director’s Stage,” a documentary by Chrissie Eckhardt that chronicles actors taking their first foray into directing for the stage.
- “Evicted,” a short film by Rebecca Bonardi, DeeDe Pinckney, Bridgette Proctor and Ching-Wan Yip that follows a young man who is evicted from his apartment and has no job, money or prospects.
- “Wanna Bet?,” the story of a college student who tries his hand as a bookie by Ben Ginn, Tricia Leyte-Vidal, Chelsea Cipriani and Jon Kolnoski.
- “Undone,” a psychological thriller produced by Thomas Kozak, Peter Youngblood, Stephanie Colson and Matt Anderson, that shows a student grappling with an impending paper and his battle between reality and dreams.
The “Best of Director’s Workshop,” a sampling of camera directing work by students who participated in a workshop by Aner Preminger will also be screened. Preminger is a senior lecturer at Hebrew University in Jerusalem, a visiting faculty member in Wake Forest’s communication department and an independent film director.
