Wake Forest schedules announcement of new dean of business schools
April 22, 2008
The news media are invited to Wake Forest University today for the announcement of the new dean of the Wake Forest business schools. The new dean will head both the Calloway School of Business and Accountancy and the Babcock Graduate School of Management. The new dean is an individual who has been widely recognized in national business publications for years as one of the most respected and innovative chief executive officers in the United States.
Provost Jill Tiefenthaler will announce the new dean at 3 p.m. in Reynolda Hall, first-floor main lounge. The new dean will speak at the event. President Nathan O. Hatch and others will also speak briefly.
The media are advised to enter Reynolda Hall’s front doors facing Hearn Plaza. The lounge is located immediately through those doors.
The dean’s appointment is a landmark in the history of Wake Forest, in that this is the first time that one dean has been appointed to head both of the university’s business schools. Previously, each school had its own dean.
The new dean will be available to speak to reporters following the program.
