WFU communication department wins national recognition

Wake Forest University’s communication department is a 2007 winner of the Rex Mix Program of Excellence Award. The award was announced recently at the National Communication Association Convention in Chicago.
The purpose of the award is to encourage and recognize excellence in small undergraduate departments of communication with emphasis on curriculum program quality and program design.
Wake Forest was among two schools selected to receive the 2007 award. Wake Forest was recognized for the overall excellence of its communication department.
"Our program has been cited for its undergraduate curriculum, co-curricular programs, and the preparation we provide our students for graduate school,” said Mary Dalton, director of undergraduate studies for Wake Forest’s communication department. “It is a tremendous honor for us to receive the Rex Mix Award of Excellence.”
