American Library Association taps WFU librarian for emerging leaders program
October 31, 2007
Lauren Pressley, instructional design librarian at Wake Forest University’s Z. Smith Reynolds Library, has been selected for the American Library Association’s 2008 Emerging Leaders program.
She is among 124 young librarians from across the nation chosen for the program, which offers participants problem-solving workgroups, networking with peers and an inside look into the association’s structure. After completing the six-month program, participants have an opportunity to serve on an ALA chapter committee, task force, working group or project team.
Pressley joined the Z. Smith Reynolds Library staff in 2003. She holds a Master of Library Information and Studies degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
