Wake Forest University promotes two on legal staff; hires two staff members

The legal department at Wake Forest University has promoted two members of its staff and hired two others during the 2006-2007 fiscal year.
Brian J. McGinn has joined Wake Forest University as an assistant counsel in the legal department. McGinn formerly was associate general counsel at Lorillard Tobacco Company and an assistant attorney general in the environmental division of the N.C. Attorney General’s Office.
He received his law degree at Wake Forest School of Law and his Bachelor of Arts degree in history at Wake Forest.
Dina J. Marty was promoted from assistant counsel to associate counsel. She joined the staff in 2001 as assistant counsel. She received a bachelor’s degree at Drake University and a law degree at Wake Forest School of Law.
Ginger Plyler Matthews has joined the legal department as a certified paralegal. Matthews, who received a bachelor’s degree at Western Carolina University, formerly worked at the North Carolina Department of Transportation.
Linda S. Klein was promoted to assistant to the vice president and general counsel.
She had been assistant to the secretary of the board of trustees. She joined the legal department on the university’s Hawthorne Campus in 2001 as an administrative secretary; she joined the university’s legal staff on the Reynolda Campus in 2004. She is a graduate of the Bradford School of Business.
