Advisory: Media invited to attend forum on global competition

April 4, 2007

The media is invited to attend “Jumping the Sun:  Creating Competitive Business Advantage in an Increasingly Flat World,” a forum hosted by Wake Forest University at 4 p.m. April 10 in Brendle Recital Hall.  The event will be recorded for broadcast on the University of North Carolina Center for Public Television (UNC-TV).

UNC-TV will have five cameras set up for the event.  A limited number of audio and video feeds for news coverage will be available through UNC-TV’s mobile unit.  Media requiring audio or video feeds should park in Lot Q behind Scales Fine Arts Center as close to the mobile unit as possible without blocking the driveway to the loading docks.

A limited number of direct audio feeds for news coverage will be available in Brendle Recital Hall.

A limited number of reserved seats are available for media who wish to attend.  Seats must be reserved in advance.  Reserved tickets will be available at the media table in the lobby of Brendle Recital Hall immediately prior to the event.

Because the event will be recorded for television, media in reserved seating must arrive no later than 3:15 p.m. and remain seated until the event ends.  Flash photography will not be permitted.  Panel participants will not be available for interviews.

General media parking will be available in Davis Field adjacent to Scales Fine Arts Center.

To arrange coverage or reserve media seating, contact Pam Barrett.
