Mobile phone movie contest announced to Wake Forest students
February 28, 2007
Wake Forest University’s Information Systems department is sponsoring a movie contest during the month of March that will award the winning moviemaker $250. All Wake Forest undergraduate students are eligible to enter.
Entrants must use the university’s supported mobile device, the Cingular 8125 Pocket PC phone, or another mobile phone with video capability. Movies can be edited using any editing software, including the video software that comes standard on the university’s ThinkPad.
Students must submit movies online by March 27. They will log on to a secure Wake Forest Web site to enter their movie into the contest, view others’ movies, and vote on their favorites. Information Systems will announce the winner during Springfest week on March 30.
Official rules and entry information are online at http://mobimovies.wfu.edu/. For more information, contestants should contact Anne Bishop, director of research and development, at 758-5810.
