Wake Forest anthropology museum announces summer camp
February 28, 2007
This summer, Wake Forest University’s Museum of Anthropology will offer three week-long children’s summer camps titled “Home on the Plains.”
Camps meet the weeks of June 18 and 25 and July 9. Children will learn about the Great Plains region of the United States and the Rosebud Sioux Indians of that area and will spend the week learning the history of these Native American people and how they live through art projects, stories, games and other activities.
Camps take place weekdays from 9 a.m. to noon, and are for students who have completed grades 1-5. Camp fees, $85 (community) and $70 (museum members), include supplies and daily snacks. Registration is limited to 15 children per week.
For more information or to register, call 336-758-5282 or e-mail: moa@wfu.edu.
Applications are also available on the museum’s Web site: http://www.wfu.edu/MOA.
