Events honor retired Wake Forest economics professor

Wake Forest University’s economics department is sponsoring a lecture, reception and dinner Feb. 16 in honor of John C. Moorhouse, who retired recently as Archie Carroll Professor of Ethical Leadership. Moorhouse was a member of the Wake Forest economics department from 1969 until 2006.
The lecture is free and open to the public. Titled “The Intellectual Perspective of John Moorhouse,” it will be held at 4 p.m. in Room 111 in Carswell Hall and will be delivered by Wake Forest graduate John D. Graham, dean of the Pardee RAND Graduate School in Santa Monica, Calif.
Following the lecture, a reception and dinner will be held at 7 p.m. at the Pine Brook Country Club in Winston-Salem.
Those interested in attending the reception and dinner are asked to register by Feb. 9. The cost of dinner is $35 a person.
