Wake Forest reschedules Martin's lecture on social justice and rape victims

A lecture at Wake Forest University by sociologist Patricia Yancey Martin has been rescheduled from 4 p.m. Feb. 1 to 10 a.m. Feb. 2. The change was made due to weather conditions in the Winston-Salem area.
The free, public lecture will be take place in the Rovere Room in the Miller Center. Originally, it was scheduled for Pugh Auditorium in Benson University Center. It is titled “Organizations, Rape Work and Social Justice.”
Martin is the Daisy Parker Flory Professor of Sociology at Florida State University. She is nationally known for her research on gender and organizations.
Organizers have also rescheduled a workshop by Martin originally set for 9 a.m. Feb. 2. New plans call for the workshop to be combined with the lecture. Workshop participants should arrive at 10 a.m.
