Advisory: Virginia Foxx to honor veterans Nov. 10 at Wake Forest ceremony

U.S. Rep. Virginia Foxx will honor United States military veterans at Wake Forest University’s Veterans Day Ceremony at 11 a.m. Nov. 10 in Perritt Plaza located between Benson University Center and Reynolda Hall. 

Military veterans and the public are invited to attend the free event.   

Sponsored by the Wake Forest military science department (ROTC), the 30-minute ceremony will include traditional military bugle soundings; a reading of the history of Veterans Day; remarks by members of the Wake Forest Army ROTC program; a keynote address by Michael Hughes, professor of history at Wake Forest; and a wreath-laying ceremony.

Foxx will give remarks in recognition of all veterans in attendance, and veterans will be presented with a lapel pin in honor of their service.
