Celebration of Latino heritage month includes performance by ‘Drumjungle’

A dance party-style performance by the group DrumJungle is scheduled for 7 p.m. Oct. 3 in the main lounge on the first floor of Wake Forest University’s Reynolda Hall.

The free, public event has been planned by the Organization of Latin American Students as part of the university’s celebration of Latino Heritage Month.

According to the group’s Web site,, DrumJungle offers “an electrifying display of percussion choreography” in a drum show that “creates a multi-sensory experience.”

Sponsors for the event include the university’s Office of Multicultural Affairs, International Studies, Latin American Studies, Black Student Alliance, Student Union, SAFE Fund, Unified Rhythms, Dirrrty Dancers and Club Hispano.
