WFU welcomes incoming freshman class

Wake Forest University expects approximately 1,126 incoming freshmen to arrive on campus Aug. 17.
Freshman orientation begins with move-in and lasts through Aug. 22.
Freshmen will move into their residence halls throughout the day beginning at 8 a.m. Nearly all freshmen will live on campus. Sophomores, juniors and seniors will move into their residence halls Aug. 19 and 20.
Classes for all undergraduates will begin Aug. 23.
This year’s freshman class represents 44 states and 14 foreign countries. Twenty-two percent are North Carolina residents.
Thirty-five percent of the students graduated within the top 5 percent of their high school classes. Seventeen percent are minorities, matching the record set for the largest percentage of minority students by last year’s freshman class.
Orientation for the Divinity School’s approximately 34 new students begins Aug. 18. The Graduate School of Arts and Sciences begins orientation for its approximately 184 new students on Aug. 22. Classes for both schools begin Aug. 23.
Orientation for the approximately 93 new full-time MBA students begins Aug. 14. Classes for the full-time program in the Babcock Graduate School of Management begin Aug. 21.
The School of Law will begin orientation for the approximately 155 first-year students Aug. 14, with classes beginning Aug. 21.
