Funding your stay at NANOTECH
 NANOTECH @ WFU

There are several ways in which NANOTECH can sponsor you as a student or postdoctoral fellow.   NANOTECH also welcomes fellowships from a variety of professional societies.  In most cases the Center is able to match the society contribution.

NANOTECH Fellows:

The Center has a fellowship program for promising young scientists to help them establish their careers in the nanosciences.  These fellowships provide the resources to address programs that require a longer time commitment than a traditional postdoc.

NANOTECH is currently accepting applications for fellowships.  To apply, forward a full CV, three letters of reference, and a three page proposal on the topic of:

Applications of Nanocomposites in Organic Device Technologies.

to Dr. Carroll.

Society Fellows:

The Nanotech Center has helped several scientists win fellowships from professional societies including the ACS and NSF.  If you are interested in pursuing this avenue, you should team with a NANOTECH faculty member and together approach one of the participating societies: NSF,ACS,NASA, DOE.

Please note, these highly competitive fellowships typically have deadlines.  Be aware of application deadlines and requirements before contacting the potential faculty sponsor.

Guest Scientists:

Each year, NANOTECH welcomes three to five guest scientists from across the world.  Scientists from Mexico, Ireland, Germany, China, and Japan have been sponsored to work at the center recently.  NANOTECH has a limited amount of funds to offset living in this country for up to six months.  For more information contact Dr. Carroll.

Students:

The scientists of NANOTECH typically have funded programs that provide for studentships and postdoctoral training.  If you are interested in any of the work at the NANOTECH center, or currently carried out by faculty of the center, please feel free to contact the PI directly.

Disclaimer:

All fellowship programs are subject to yearly review and renewal by NANOTECH.  Participation is dependent on funding and is not guarenteed by WFU or any professional society.
