Nanotechnology and Medicine
There is an emerging revolution taking place in medicine today. This revolution promises approaches to disease that look and act very differently from medical technologies of today. Tailored for each individual, these astonishing new therapeutic technologies will one day be able to diagnose, and treat disease, then analyse their own effectiveness and report the results to the care-giver. The revolution we are speaking of is based in Nanotechnology. Wake Forest University has made a significant investment in developing research and capabilities in the field of nanotechnology based medicine. With broadly based programs in a variety of medical fields, Wake Forest University is quickly establishing itself as a leader in NanoMedicine.
