LEE MORGAN, mezzo-soprano, earned a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Salem College School of Music, where she studied with Joan Jacobowsky.  She also holds a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Texas at Austin, where she studied with Elizabeth Mannion, Flora Wendt and Fiora Contino.

She has performed as a recitalist and guest soloist with many choral groups, including the Piedmont Chamber Singers, Carolina Baroque, the Wilkes Chamber Singers, and the Mount Desert Island (ME) Summer Chorale. She can be heard on a number of Carolina Baroque recordings, including Arias, Duets and Ballet Music from Händel Operas and Bach: Music to Challenge the Intellect and Touch the Heart. On stage, she has played such roles as the Mothers in Amahl and the Night Visitors, Hänsel and Gretel and Albert Herring, and Nettie in Carousel.

She teaches voice privately (www.MorganVocalStudio.com) and has taught as an Adjunct Instructor of Voice at both Wake Forest University and Salem College for a number of years. Currently she is teaching theatrical singing at Wake Forest University. She has conducted musicals for The Little Theatre of Winston-Salem, including The Music Man, Kiss Me, Kate and Brigadoon, and recently conducted Peter Pan for the West Side Civic Theatre. Lee Morgan is also a section leader for the Adult Choir at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Winston-Salem.
