Unless specified otherwise, all events are free and open to the public, and take place in Brendle Recital Hall in the Scales Fine Arts Center.
Saturday, February 4 1:00-3:00 pm Masterclass with Susan Terry
Terry, an original Broadway production performer in City of Angels, will be offering a masterclass for WFU student cast members in Brendle Recital Hall. The masterclass will be followed by a Q&A session and a reception in the Brendle lobby.
SUSAN TERRY made her Broadway debut in the original Broadway cast of Evita. Other Broadway credits include Zorba (starring Anthony Quinn), Anything Goes at Lincoln Center (with Leslie Uggams), and City of Angels in which she co-starred opposite Tom Wopat. Off-Broadway, she was seen in the popular revue, Forbidden Broadway. She appeared as Petra in New York City Opera’s A Little Night Music which aired Live From Lincoln Center on PBS. Other PBS appearances include Sondheim: A Celebration at Carnegie Hall, and Follies in Concert (with the New York Philharmonic.) She was a guest soloist with The Scottish Opera and The Boston Pops. Ms. Terry has appeared in stock and regional theatres throughout the country such as Seattle Rep, The MUNY in St. Louis, and the Weston Playhouse in Vermont. Favorite roles include Cleo in Most Happy Fella, Mama Rose in Gypsy, Carlotta in Follies and Ella (opposite Joe Namath) in Bells Are Ringing. Most recently she recorded a series of children’s books for the Disney Princess series.

In this annual competition, open to all music students, performers will compete for cash prizes made possible by our generous donors. This year's Piano Competition will feature music of each performer's choice, and the Open Competition will feature Music in the Romantic Styles.
