Katherine Morgan, a recipient of the undergraduate Richter research grant, will be giving a lecture-recital about Sir Arthur
Sullivan's art songs. Audience members will join Katherine as she explores the relationships Sullivan had with famous Victorian
poets, his many love affairs, and the intensely personal connection he had with his music.

This collaborative annual concert, now in its fifteenth year, will feature students from the studio of Kathryn Levy, the WFU Flute Choir, The Silver Wind Flute Choir of Winston-Salem and community flutists. The program will include solo works by Pergolesi and Telemann, as well as Ravel's Mother Goose Suite and Faure's Pavane.

This program will feature madrigals and sacred works written by the leading English composers of the 17th century. The Collegium Musicum Vocal Ensemble will sing works by Henry Purcell, Orlando Gibbons, John Dowland, and Thomas Weelkes. Two of Dowland’s ayres will be sung with guitar accompaniment to represent the performance practice of the period. The voices of the ensemble will combine with the Collegium Instrumentalists to present two madrigals with consort accompaniment to close the program.

Students and faculty at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Wake Forest University will join forces for an evening of charanga, a style of Cuban dance music featuring strings and including danzόn and salsa arrangements. Guest artists include David Garcia, director of UNC's Charanga Carolina, Latin percussionist Nelson Delgado, and flutist Debra Reuter-Pivetta. Pianist Federico Pivetta will also perform Latin jazz selections with WFU faculty violinist Jacqui Carrasco.
