Fall 2008 Audition Information
1. 4 semesters required to major in music, 3 semesters to minor. Students taking Music100 should pick up information about the course on Monday or Tuesday,
August 25-26, 9 am – 5 pm, in M309 SFAC, or view on the Music web page at www.wfu.edu/academics/music/program/mus100.html.
2. Enrollees must audition Monday or Tuesday, August 25 or 26. Sign up for a time on the bulletin board opposite M208 SFAC. Orientation will be held Saturday,
August 23, 3:30 pm, M208 SFAC.
3. All instrumental registrants should see Dr. Carter on Monday, August 25, 10:00 am - 4:00 pm, in M310 SFAC. An information session will be held Saturday,
August 23 at 4:00 pm in M201 SFAC.
4. An information session will be held Saturday, August 23 at 4:00 pm in M201 SFAC. Auditions for these ensembles are Monday and Tuesday, August 25-26. Sign-up for an audition time in SFAC, room M105 with Dr. Bowen (winds, brass, percussion) or the Orchestra Director (strings) – or contact these director.
5. All registrants must report on Monday or Tuesday, August 25 or 26, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm to M309 to complete scheduling forms for Individual Instruction. Fees are
charged for MUS 161, 162, 262, 362 and 363 (but not MUS 120) and are payable to Financial and Accounting Services.
6. All registrants who have not previously studied with Ms. Radomski or Mr. Heard should report to M313 SFAC for an audition-interview on Monday or Tuesday,
August 25-26, 10:00 am - 12 noon, or 2:00-5:00 pm.
7. All registrants who are not continuing piano students at Wake Forest should report to M317 for an audition/interview on Monday or Tuesday, 2:00 - 4:00 pm, August 25-26.
8. MUS 165P is intended for beginning piano students. If the course is at max enrollment, and you are unable to be waitlisted, please contact Dr. Inkman at
inkmanje@wfu.edu to express your interest in enrolling.
9. All registrants who have not previously studied with Ms. Dixon should report to M211 for an audition-interview on Monday or Tuesday, August 25-26, from 2:00-5:00 pm.
10. Proposals for independent study must be approved by the prospective instructor and submitted to the department chair no later than April 30, 2008 for credit during the Fall 2008 term.
