Concert Choir Home Concert
Brian Gorelick, director
The theme of this year's Home Concert is Contemporary Choral Music of North America. The concert is a fundraiser for the Concert Choir International Touring Fund. Last May, the ensemble toured Vienna and Austria, performing internationally for the first time in its over-60- year history. The admission charge for this concert will help cover the choir's travel expenses when the group takes its second international tour in 2010. Tickets will be on sale at the door for $10 for adults and $5 for students. Anyone wishing to reserve tickets may do so by calling the Music Department Office at 758-5364.

Secrest
Artists Series
Wake Forest
provides numerous opportunities for music students to attend concerts
by performers of national and international repute. The Secrest Artists
Series brings to the campus the best of the established and the most
promising of the new artists in the performing arts world. Recently
featured artists include Denyce Graves, mezzo-soprano opera star; Eugenia
Zukerman, flutist; Eileen Ivers, Celtic fiddler; Doc Severinsen and
his Big Band; Itzak Perlman, violinist; Christopher Parkening, guitarist
and the early music vocal ensemble, Anonymous 4. Pre-concert talks by
University professors enhance the performance experience, and, occasionally,
master classes with a Secrest artist are offered to qualified music
students. Each year the series sponsors five concerts and admission
is free to Wake Forest faculty, staff and students.
