Australia Programs

Australian Aboriginal people say, “Let’s go for a walk about.” Students will see some of the natural wonders that make Australia a land of vastly different environments. They will be introduced to the Aboriginal people who have lived in Australia for about 40,000 years and whose art, music, and culture are inseparable from the land. The migration of people from England, Greece, China, and every other part of the world has made Australia a land of blended cultures. This program can be modified for different grade levels.

City or Outback?

Where would you want to live in Australia? Through images and artifacts, students will learn about the differences between living in urban areas versus the outback. Students will also be introduced to the native inhabitants, the Aboriginal people, through their art and music. They will see the influences of Aboriginal people on modern Australia. Time required: 1 hour and 30 min.
