Museum offers the following programs:
- Curriculum based programs for grades K through 12 during the school year.
- Cultures Up Close family-oriented programs during the fall and spring semesters.
- Week-long summer camps for ages 6-11.
- Outreach Kits which may be rented for use in your own classroom..
Student Projects
Children's Virtual Exhibit - Adapted from a project done by Laura Bullins for the Fall 2005 "Applied Anthropology" class, this virtual exhibit takes a look at artifacts from our "Treasures from a Moravian Attic" exhibit.
North Carolina Native Americans* - These lessons address North Carolina Social Studies, Language Arts, and Visual Arts Competency Goals for Grade 4. They are adapted from a project done by Becca Hiester for the Fall 2005 "Applied Anthropology" class.
American Indian Blankets* - This art lesson addresses North Carolina Art Competency Goals for grades K-5.This lesson is adapted from a project done by Cassandra Williams for the Fall 2005 "Applied Anthropology" class.
Native American Filmography* - This filmography features Native American themed films and suggestions for educators. This filmography is adapted from a project done by Raylynn Edwards for the Fall 2005 "Applied Anthropology" class.
