Elder Care Choices/Division of Senior Services, Inc.

Benefit provided to help with the caregiving concerns for a parent or other adults.

Elder Care Choices can help:

  • Select a nursing home
  • Locate someone to come into the home to help with personal care
  • Determine what Medicare will pay for
  • Determine how "respite care" can provide a break for caregivers
  • Talk to a knowledgeable person about any caregiving issue for an older adult living anywhere in the US

Child Care Resource and Referral provides telephone referral services as well as written information on child care providers who meet all applicable state and local standards. The service also provides the following facts on each provider it refers:

  • Name of contact person
  • Description of type of care provided
  • Eligibility requirements
  • Ages of children served
  • Vacancies
  • Hours and days open
  • Licensing status
  • Affiliation and accreditation
  • Availability of services for children with special needs
  • Availability of other services, such as drop-in and sick care, transportation, bilingual services, meals, etc.
  • Financial arrangements, including fees and subsidies

Personal Assistance Network / Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

Confidential service where trained counselors provide:

  • Professional assessment, referral and follow-up services for personal/emotional concerns
  • Workplace problem identification and consultation
  • An access to the QualChoice behavioral health system and other health plans

Services are available to all employees and their immediate family members, providing assistance with problems including:

  • Family and marital problems
  • Emotional and mental distress such as anxiety, grief and depression
  • Alcohol and other drug abuse
  • Financial concerns
  • Stress at home or work
  • Problems experienced by children and teenagers
  • Other personal concerns
