Howdy! I'm D. Farmer. I have been with Wake Forest since 1988, initially serving in a part-time capacity with University Police as a Police Communications Officer and office assistant. I held full-time positions with University Police including Traffic Control Officer, Computer Coordinator and Records Manager/Card Access Manager. I accepted the Card Access System Administrator position in 1997, and moved with the position to University Stores, then to Facilities Management and finally finding a home in Residence Life and Housing in June 2000.
I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Lenoir-Rhyne College in Hickory, NC. Since 1986, I have been a volunteer firefighter serving as firefighter/EMT-D, Lieutenant and Captain. I am very active in church activities including choir, handbells, Sunday School teacher, Board of Directors and the puppet program. I enjoy playing and watching sports (especially NASCAR racing), music (listening, playing and singing) and working on cars, trucks and motorcycles. I also enjoy raising critters and the country farm life.
