1145 Polo Road1145 Polo Road | The Anthony Aston Players

1145 Polo Road is one of several homes available as an unique housing option to students. The North Area Houses were former residential homes that have been converted to Wake Forest University undergraduate student residences. These Polo Road and Rosedale Circle houses are located off the central part of campus and are very often associated with certain themes established to promote a clear link between residential and academic life for students at Wake Forest University.

The Anthony Aston Players is a thespian organization dedicated to serving the Wake Forest Univesity Theatre.

The Fine Arts Theme House was established to provide an environment in which people with an interest in the arts could live with each other in a creative atmosphere. The House provides an artistic community where students and faculty can comfortably interact in not only a social environment, but an academically stimulating environment as well.

The Fine Arts Theme House provides you a place to live with peers who stimulate creativity and serve as critics, collaborators, and teachers. As a resident of the House, you will also learn about other facets of your talents through learning more about the work of your fellow housemates.

The goals of the House are to increase awareness of the arts on the Wake Forest campus, provide you with an opportunity to go to artistic events on and off campus, and encourage the artistic community to become more involved in campus activities. The House also furnishes a strong support network and an educated audience for artists.

The Fine Arts Theme House offers initiatives such as group trips to local art shows and theater performances, sponsors House activities such as theme dinners and parties, group outings to Wake Forest student art shows, gallery openings, plays, dance concerts, and music performances.

The Fine Arts Theme House enriches the intellectual and artistic climate on and off campus. The university benefits from the artistic expressions of the residents of the House, and allows you and those in other communities to learn more about and engage in the artistic works. The Fine Arts Theme House is one of the many strong examples of the university's firm commitment to the arts.

The themes are evaluated yearly, and students may develop their own programs.
