Upperclass Room Assignments

General Information

Of the 3,850 undergraduate students at Wake Forest University, over 3,000 are residents who live in campus residence hall facilities. With such a high percentage choosing to live on campus, the residence hall experience plays an important role in the students' lives. The room assignments process and various housing options available are designed to give students a substantial amount of flexibility and diversity in choosing a housing arrangement. Eight semesters of housing are guaranteed for residential students who meet the following requirements:

  • Tuition deposit by the published deadline each semester;
  • Housing eligibility is not lost due to disciplinary or academic deficiency; and,
  • Housing eligibility is not lost due to a voluntary move off campus.

In mid-spring of each year, eligible students who want to live in the residence halls during the following year participate in the Fall Room and Dining Selection process to select their room. The Residence Hall and Dining Agreement for the academic year is completed and signed at this time.

Typically, the residence hall staff distributes the Fall Room and Dining Selection brochure, along with the student's Residence Hall and Dining Agreement, beginning the Monday following Spring Break. This brochure is a comprehensive set of materials with specific instructions and dates for all room assignment processes for the upcoming academic year. Campus residents eligible for Fall Room and Dining Selection must sign for receipt of these materials.
