General information
Mailbox
If you cannot bring all of your belongings with you, you can arrange to have some things shipped, pre-paid UPS, to arrive at The UPS Store on campus and delivered to your room after you have checked in. Items can be stored up to one week prior to your arrival for a fee of $5 per package.

Packages may be picked up at The UPS Store, or delivered to your room for a charge of $5 per package. Please contact The UPS Store for more information or to advise of delivery dates at 336-896-1126 or store5701@theupsstore.com. Mail and packages addressed to your mail box may be received from all carriers (UPS, FedEx, DHL, USPS).
Telephone and cable tv services
Basic telephone service with voice mail (upon request from Information Systems), caller ID and call waiting, along with cable television services, are included with your room. You must bring your own traditional or 900 Mhz cordless phone. A phone with caller ID is required to use the caller ID service. Long-distance dialing is no longer provided, but pre-paid calling cards can be used from residence hall rooms. Your campus phone number will be given to you at residence hall check-in. A discount on cellular phone service is available through MobileUTM. Learn more at http://mobileu.wfu.edu. To view select HDTV channels on campus cable television, a receiver or HDTV is required. Car registration
You may register your car online at https://win.wfu.edu between August 1 and 20. (After you log in, select the “Personal” tab.) Registration fee is $500 for upperclassmen. Students completing the online registration form by August 20 will receive their parking decals in their campus mail box when they arrive. For more information, call 336-758-6123 or 6129.
Laundry
Facilities - Laundry rooms are located in each residence hall and are open 24 hours a day. Washers/dryers may be used at no cost to residents. For your convenience, visit www.laundryview.com to view available washers and dryers.
Services - "Wake Wash", a student-run entrepreneurial venture, provides an all new, door-to-door laundry and dry cleaning service to on-campus students. Partnering with the Univeristy's Residence Life & Housing department, the company also has a location for pick-up and drop-off in Luter Residence Hall. Airport transportation
If you are planning to travel to Wake Forest by air, we suggest that you make arrangements with the nearest major airport, the Piedmont Triad International Airport, located in Greensboro. Transportation from the airport to Wake Forest is provided by Central Piedmont Transportation (CPT) (1-877-796-limo). Vans depart every hour on the hour from the airport to the campus after all scheduled flights. Currently, the cost of this shuttle service is $35.50 per person. The CPT service counter is located in the baggage claim area on the lower level of the airport terminal. Shuttles run from 8 a.m. – 10 p.m., seven days a week. |
