Party Management

The Party Management System was established through collective efforts of student leaders, faculty members, and administrators to put in place a policy that is both fair and realistic.  Party Management policies assist organizations and departments with event management and help to ensure the safety and well-being of the Wake Forest community.  Every effort has been made to adapt to the special circumstances and needs of Wake Forest University within the constraints of federal, state and local law.

Training
Organizations and departments or other campus entities planning to hold an event on campus with alcohol must attend the Risk Management/Alcohol Safety Training at the beginning of the respective semester in which the event is to occur.  Training sessions are conducted by the Office of Residence Life and Housing and are scheduled during the first week of classes. Training materials for these sessions are available for you to view. Please contact greek@wfu.edu with questions about training sessions.

Registration
All social functions must be registered with and approved by the Office of Residence Life and Housing.  Friday and Saturday night events with alcohol must be registered by 3 p.m. on the Thursday prior to the event.  Social functions with alcohol held at any other time of the week must be registered 10 business days (14 full days) in advance.  Alcohol-free events must be registered at least 24 hours in advance.  However, it is best to get the registration form in as early as possible so that the office can assist you with planning and logistics.

Registering an event is an easy process.  There are two separate registration forms – one for events with alcohol and one for alcohol-free events.  Simply click on the link below for the proper registration form.  Complete the form and save it to your computer.  Then, email the form as an attachment to greek@wfu.edu with the name and date of your event in the email subject line.  Once it is received by the Office of Residence Life and Housing, you will receive an approval email with further instructions on managing your event.

Event Evaluation
After the event has ended, the individual responsible for registering the event will be required to complete the Event Evaluation Form below.  This must be done by 10 a.m. the morning after the event.  Simply click on the link below and complete the form.  Then, save it to your computer and email it as an attachment to greek@wfu.edu.  The Office of Residence Life and Housing will then review the form as well as the Compliance Advisor’s report from the event to ensure that all policies were followed and the event ran smoothly.
